In a unexpected partnership that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized statement, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and fearsome transformations echo through the darkness." The narrative features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden sect.
The questline focuses on "strange tests and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana together with several artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Latest Free Story Addition
This release also brings the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery."
